Our areas of specialization and reference work
On behalf of our clients, we develop and implement customized funding programs for climate and environmental protection. We assist our clients during the entire process and we are the liaison between our clients who provide the funds and those who apply for funding. Our range of services includes: Formal and subject-matter review of applications for funding Determination of the amount of funding to be granted Support decision-making processes, make funding recommendations Support decision-making bodies Contract and refusal letter drafting Final settlement of accounts and payment management Monitoring and reporting When processing applications, we rely on ongoing evaluations and innovations that allow us to provide sophisticated and efficient funding scheme management. In addition to the online platform “MEINE FÖRDERUNG” (“MY FUNDING”) that allows beneficiaries to access their project data at a click of the mouse 24/7, we also offer fully electronic application submission. This translates into even better customer service and takes processing efficiency to the next level. In 2014, we won the Austrian Ministry of Finance as a new client. The ministry entrusted us with managing the “Craftsperson Bonus.” Also in 2014, we started handling funding projects in the area of flood protection. Our long-standing clients include the Austrian Ministry of Austrian Federal Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, Environment and Water Management, the Climate Fund and Energy Fund, Altstoff Recycling Austria AG (ARA), the Clearing and Settlement Agency for Green Electricity (OeMAG) as well as several Austrian provinces.

When it comes to international consulting services, we have specialized on consulting for development cooperation and international financing institutions, especially in EU candidate countries in southeast Europe, Eastern Europe, the Caucasus and Mediterranean countries. These countries have an especially high need for expertise in the development of municipal environmental infrastructure, the improvement of energy efficiency in the manufacturing industry and the public sector as well as support for public authorities when it comes to managing EU subsidies. We have numerous projects in the area of national consulting services that can serve as references, among them the compilation of (market) studies, the implementation of evaluation projects and the creation of investment plans for wastewater management associations. Our international clients include, among others, the European Union (EU), the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), the European Investment Bank (EIB), the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ), the Credit Institute (KfW), the French Development Bank (AfD), Improving municipal services in Moldova In recent years, Moldova has made progress in the area of economic development and has also succeeded in reducing poverty levels. However, despite many efforts at implementing reforms, the public administration still shows structural weaknesses. These are reflected, above all, in the insufficient quality of municipal services including drinking water supply, wastewater disposal, waste disposal and road maintenance. KPC, on behalf of the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ), provides support in these areas by helping create medium-term investment plans and by helping improve local skills. In addition, KPC assists in preparing projects from a technical and administrative perspective. Supporting Austrian development cooperation in the water sector The Austrian Federal Ministry of European and International Affairs coordinates the Austrian development policy and defines the objectives of Austrian development cooperation as well cooperation with Eastern countries. The Austrian Development Agency (ADA) is responsible for the implementation of all programs and projects. KPC supports ADA in technical and scientific matters and provides assistance for the coordination of projects in the water sector. KPC’s main focus is on policy and strategy consulting, donor coordination on the European and international level as well as monitoring of financing plans.
